The Grant Museum

London is not just a city of industry, busy roads and people… this is a city where extinct animals and pickled beasts are hidden away in glass cabinets in our lesser known university museum….

Having learned about Ernest Shackleton’s icy adventure last month, this podcast visits the Grant Museum to discover a little piece of Antarctica in London.

Who is it the museum named after and why does it display pickled, stuffed and skeletal animals?  Have you ever wondered what’s so special about a penguin or a platypus?
